What set us apart!
Our Casavant pipe organ was installed in our church sanctuary in the Spring of 1979. The instrument has two manuals and 22 ranks of pipes. In 2009 a Cymbalstern was added, a memorial of the Helen Ingold family. The organ has effectively served our congregation in worship for 34 years. It’s primary function is to lead and accompany congregational song but can also serve ably as a solo instrument for special events outside of worship. At the time of its installation, beginning on Sunday, April 22, 1979, a week-long festival of music was held at the church. The events included a full length organ recital of music ranging from J.S. Bach to Eugene Gigout. In recent years our organist, Janice Bouma, has planned a variety of special events featuring the organ. 1999 Organ and More Concert 2004 The Year of the Organ Concert 2009 Organ Favorites Request Program 2014 “Tune My Heart to Sing Thy Praise” Hymn Festival
