How Do I Get Involved?
Where Can I Serve?
This is a place for team members. We want you to be a part of our church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at First Presbyterian, McKinney.
ESL Ministry – Kitchen Crew
We host a large English as a Second Language (ESL) Ministry dedicated to helping eager students learn English. This ministry provides those who are not native to the United States with the skills they need to succeed in our community.
As part of this ministry we serve dinner to the students. Volunteer positions are available as part of our Kitchen Crew on Monday or Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m.
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of First Presbyterian McKinney, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Chancel Choir – Wednesdays, 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Music Room
The usher team fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group whose ministry is integral to church life.
